Song 2: “I Notice You Pt. 2 (Seen Too Much)”

Synopsis:

“I Notice You Pt. 2 (Seen Too Much)” shifts the story into Mya’s perspective. What Dontay experiences as love… she experiences as fear.

Mya begins to feel like she’s being watched — small details start to add up, and her intuition tells her something isn’t right. She goes to the police, trying to make sense of the feeling that someone knows too much about her life.

Meanwhile, Dontay sees her report but doesn’t feel guilt — only heartbreak. In his mind, he isn’t doing anything wrong… he believes he’s protecting her, understanding her in a way no one else can.

The song creates a powerful emotional conflict —
her fear vs his “love”… reality vs perception.

“I Notice You Pt. 2 (Seen Too Much)” – Lyrics

Hook (Mya)
I notice you… even when you don’t see me,
Every little move, yeah it speaks to me…
You say you scared, but you don’t know the truth…
Ain’t nobody watchin’ you like I do…

(Background harmonies – (Mya)
like I do…

Verse 1 (Mya)
I told the police I feel somethin’ strange,
Like somebody watchin’ me, learnin’ my ways…
Said I changed my route but it still feel the same,
Like I’m bein’ followed but see no face…

(Dontay) I feel eyes on me when I’m closin’ my door,
Hear steps behind me but nobody there for sure…
I try to shake it, tell myself I’m trippin’,
But every little move got me second guessin’…

(Mya) I said, “He know things he shouldn’t know…”
Like where I been and where I go…
They say I’m safe, but I don’t feel that way…
Feels like he closer every day…

Hook (Both)
I notice you… even when you don’t see me…
Every little move, yeah it speaks to me…
You say you scared, but you don’t know the truth…
Ain’t nobody watchin’ you like I do…

Verse 2 (Dontay)
Why you go and tell ’em somethin’ ain’t right?
I ain’t tryna hurt you, I just watch from the night…
You don’t even see me, I stay out your view,
But I know everything ’cause I care about you…

You think it’s fear, but it’s love in disguise,
I just pay attention, I don’t cross no lines…
I ain’t touch nothin’, I ain’t said a word,
But I feel every moment you ain’t even heard…

One day you gon’ see me, it’s gon’ make sense,
All this distance now just temporary fence…
You want somebody who understand your soul…
I been right here, just playin’ my role…

Bridge (Mya) She said who dis?…
 He said It’s me…

(Mya) She feel danger…
 He feel destiny…

(Dontay) She run from it…

(Mya) He waitin’ still…

(Dontay) She call it fear…
(Mya) He call it real…

Final Hook (Both)
I notice you… even when you don’t see me…
Every little move, yeah it speaks to me…
You say you scared, but you don’t know the truth…
Ain’t nobody watchin’ you like I do…

(Mya)
I do… I do…

Outro (Mya)
You don’t gotta be afraid…
I’d never let nothin’ hurt you…

The lyrics truly resonated with me; I experienced every word through Dontay’s heartfelt voice.
