Song 3: “I Notice You Pt. 3 (He Don’t Know You)” — Synopsis:

In “He Don’t Know You,” Dontay watches as the situation evolves — the cop Mya confided in begins spending time with her, forming a connection.

From Dontay’s perspective, this new presence feels like an intrusion. He becomes increasingly jealous, believing the cop only sees a surface version of Mya, while he knows her on a deeper level.

Instead of turning against Mya, Dontay justifies everything — placing the blame on the other man. His fixation grows stronger, and his sense of entitlement becomes more intense.

This track deepens the psychological tension, showing Dontay’s emotional spiral as he convinces himself that no one else could ever truly understand her the way he does.

“I Notice You Pt. 3 (He Don’t Know You)” – Lyrics

Hook (Dontay)
He don’t know you like I do…
He just see what you show him…
I been watchin’ every move…
I know what you don’t tell him…

You can smile, you can lie…
I can see it in your eyes…
He can try, but it’s no use…
He don’t know you like I do…

(Background – Dontay)
like I do…

Verse 1 (Dontay)
I been seein’ him pull up late,
Same spot, same time, same place…
You open the door with that same lil’ smile,
The one you gave me for a while…

Now he standin’ where I should be,
Laughin’ like he know your history…
But he don’t know the things I know,
He just see what you let him show…

You pour that drink, yeah I know that move,
Little Henny, now you in that groove…
That laugh right there? Yeah, that ain’t new…
That was mine before it was his too…

Hook (Dontay)
He don’t know you like I do…
He just see what you show him…
I been watchin’ every move…
I know what you don’t tell him…

Verse 2 (Dontay)
I ain’t mad at you, nah, you just you,
You gon’ shine, that’s what you do…
It’s him I see tryna play his part,
Actin’ like he earned your heart…

He don’t know what you been through,
He ain’t seen all the sides of you…
He ain’t there when the lights go low,
He don’t feel what I feel, he don’t know…

You deserve more than what he givin’,
He just visitin’, I been livin’…
In your world, even when you don’t see,
You still everything to me…

Bridge (Dontay)
I ain’t leavin’, I ain’t gone…
Even when you think I’m not around…

He can hold you, that’s cool for now…
But I’m the one who really know you… how…

(Layered – Dontay)
He don’t see you…
Like I see you…

Final Hook (Dontay)
He don’t know you like I do…
He just see what you show him…
I been watchin’ every move…
I know what you don’t tell him…

He can try… but it’s no use…
He don’t know you like I do…

Outro (Dontay)
Yeah…
He can stay for now…
That’s alright…

You gon’ see…
who really been here the whole time…

The lyrics struck a chord with me; I could feel each word through Dontay’s emotive voice.
